UI Developer

Apex Systems is looking to hire on a UI Developer for one of our clients. This opening is remote for now. We are hoping to find someone who is located in the Dallas area or open to relocate to Dallas down the line.

Minimum of 5 years' work experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent role required. 5 years' experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript required. 2 years' experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment required. 2 years' experience as a technical lead preferred. Experience with high performance best practices preferred. Experience with UI testing best practices preferred. Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and Web Services preferred.

Ideal Candidate: Expected experience/knowledge:

• HTML/CSS and CSS animation knowledge
• Functional programming with Javascript (ES6), ReactJS (React 16), Redux (Redux is a nice to have, since we’re going there, but we are currently using a custom implementation of the flux pattern for application state)
• Typically specializes in one area (i.e. Front End) but should have experience in multiple areas, or worked on many different applications.
• Has proper intuition of the best practice patterns and are looking to improve and modularize them.
• Able to visualize the structure of an application based on a discussion, or imagine how a new framework/library may be implemented (or have written one)
• Mentor to others.
